Dara Torres, Chief Wellness Officer, Spotlight

Meet Dara Torres

We are excited to introduce our Chief Wellness Officer, Dara Torres, to the Can-i Wellness Athletic Advisory Council. Dara is a five-time Olympian and also the oldest swimmer to compete in the 2008 Olympics. Beyond that, Dara was also named one of the “Top Female Athletes of the Decade” by Sports Illustrated magazine and won the ESPY award for “Best Comeback.”

Outside of the pool, Dara is a top-selling author and has written several books, such as her memoir, “Age is Just a Number: Achieve Your Dreams at Any Stage in Your Life,” published in April 2009. It was listed as one of the top 25 best-selling business books by June. Her second book, “Gold Medal Fitness: A Revolutionary 5-Week Program,” was released in May 2010 and quickly became a New York Times best-seller.

Dara’s remarkable achievements have also led her to become a sought-after motivational speaker. She has spoken to over 500 companies in her career about overcoming challenges, aligning your body and mind for optimal performance, and dealing with the guilt of parenthood as you attempt greatness. Dara is not only a role model to her 15-year old daughter but an inspiration to all working mothers and millions across the globe.

What’s Dara Doing Now?

Dara Torres is committed to the Can-i Wellness mission to provide customers with the highest quality products, improve experiences, enhance a culture of wellness, and promote personal well-being. We are thrilled to have Dara on the team as we expand Can-i Wellness’ exposure and presence to new markets.
