Matt Duchene is an 8-time World Champion and a prominent figure in professional ice hockey. Duchene made his NHL debut with the Colorado Avalanche in the 2009-2010 season, after being taken third overall in the NHL Entry Draft.

The NHL named Duchene to the 2009-2010 All-Rookie Team, recognizing his highly skilled presence and performance on the ice. Duchene played his 1000th NHL game on December 7th, 2023, and accumulated over 750 points throughout that time. Duchene has proved his scoring abilities while playing for several teams, including the Colorado Avalanche, Ottawa Senators, Columbus Blue Jackets, Nashville Predators, and currently plays for the Dallas Stars.
